John Jay Institute Welcomes Spring Class
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On Monday, January 23, 2012 the John Jay Institute welcomed its seventh class of John Jay Fellows.
In the midst of a winter storm the intrepid Fellows arrived safely and eager to begin the new term. They hail from every region of the United States, from both private and state colleges and universities as well as secular and religious institutions, and from every major branch of the Christian faith -- Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox. Their ethnic, religious, regional, and institutional diversity is complimented by their solidity of calling and commitment to faith-informed public service. During the fifteen week residency all of them seek to explore principle-centered leadership studies in the context of faith. Following completion of the term each will pursue a twelve-week long externship assignment in an international, national, state, or local governmental agency or non-profit public policy research or advocacy organization.
