Claude O. Pressnell Jr., Ed.D.

Dr. Pressnell is president and CEO of the Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association (TICUA) and founder and CEO of the Tennessee Student Aid Alliance. Previously he has served as executive director of the Tennessee Foundation for Independent Colleges and as vice-president and founding executive director of the Institute for Family Studies in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dr. Pressnell has an extensive background in higher education, having held several positions in admissions and financial aid at Belmont University and Southwest Baptist University. He serves as an educational consultant on a national and international basis and his clients include the U.S. Department of State and several central and eastern European governments. Dr. Pressnell is the author of numerous publications on higher education. He holds degrees from Vanderbilt University (Ed.D.), Wheaton College (M.A.) and Southwest Baptist University (B.A.). Dr. Pressnell and his wife, Kristina, and their five children reside in Franklin, Tennessee and worship at St. Bartholomew's Church (Episcopal/Anglican).

The Rev. Alan R. Crippen II is founder and president of the John Jay Institute for Faith, Society and Law. Previously Mr. Crippen served for nine years as founding rector of the Witherspoon Fellowship, a leading civic and cultural leadership development program for college-age students based in Washington, D.C. He has two decades of experience in non-profit executive management and college level teaching including vice-president for policy and academic affairs at Family Research Council, senior fellow at the Institute for Family Studies in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and director of development at International Students, Inc. in Colorado Springs. His military service includes platoon and battery command as well as various battalion staff operations and planning positions in the U.S. Army Field Artillery. Mr. Crippen's vocational passion is for the formation of young leaders who aspire to public life. He is particularly inspired to prepare them with the contours of a worldview, knowledge, and piety requisite for faithful Christian service in the public square. Mr. Crippen holds degrees from Westminster Theological Seminary (M.A.R.) and Philadelphia Biblical University (B.S.) and is an ordained presbyter in the Convocation of Anglicans in North America (CANA). He, his wife, Michelle, and their five children make their home in Colorado Springs and worship at St. George's Anglican Church (CANA).

Calvin Edwards is an executive with more than 20 years experience working with charitable, educational, and religious institutions. In 2001 he founded Calvin Edwards & Company, to "maximize the good of giving" by consulting with thoughtful philanthropists as they made strategic gifts. Today, the firm brings a mixture of art and science to bear on major giving decisions made by affluent persons, family offices, private foundations, and government agencies. Previously Mr. Edwards joined the senior management team of Ronald Blue & Co. (RB&C) in 1996 and was made a principal later that year. Mr. Edwards has provided consulting services to a number of businesses in the seminar, high-tech, and publishing industries. His major engagement was as the chief operating officer for Peter Lowe International (PLI) in Tampa, Florida, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting time-proven values that help make great people, communities, and nations. Prior to PLI, Mr. Edwards was executive vice president of Walk Thru the Bible (WTB) in Atlanta. Earlier experience includes executive management and other roles with charitable and educational organizations. Mr. Edwards holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in literature and math from Pacific Union College, and a diploma in education from Avondale College. He earned a Master of Divinity from Andrews University where he graduated summa cum laude, and a master of business administration from Georgia State University. Mr. Edwards came to the U.S. from Australia in 1979 and is now a naturalized American. He and his wife, Nerida, reside in Atlanta, Georgia and have two grown children.

Mrs. Stancie Foss is a wife, mother and homemaker and resides in Newport Beach, California with her husband Tom. Together they have raised two daughters and a son who are all grown and married. Their son, Taylor, was a student of Alan Crippen at the Witherspoon Fellowship in Washington, D.C. and has since become an attorney specializing in intellectual property in Orange County, California. Stancie supports Tom in his professional capacity as the President and CEO of Griffith Company, a general contractor specializing in the construction of arterial highways, freeways and infrastructure. Stancie and Tom are both active in their community and parish, Redeemer Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Newport Beach, where Tom serves as a ruling elder.

Stephen J. "Steve" Maye is managing partner of Drake Capital, LLC, a real estate investment firm. Mr. Maye has over two decades of business experience including 10 years as president, founder, and majority shareholder of Maye and Massey, Inc., a facilities management and office leasing company that was sold to Colliers International. He has also served as president of the North Carolina Family Policy Council, a non-profit research, education, and advocacy organization on behalf of North Carolina's families. Mr. Maye is a 1983 graduate of the Citadel, Charleston, South Carolina. His avocation is leadership studies and Mr. Maye leads Civil War battlefield tours on character and principled leadership. He, his wife, Peggy, and their four children live in Waxhaw, North Carolina and are members of All Saints Presbyterian Church (ARP) in Charlotte, North Carolina.

William J. "Bill" Moore is president and CEO of PacMoore Products and PacMoore Process Technologies, a privately held food powder packaging and processing company headquartered in Hammond, Indiana. PacMoore has two manufacturing plants, both in Indiana: one in Hammond and the other near Indianapolis. PacMoore is one of the nation's leading contract manufacturers, processing and packaging more than 150 million pounds of dry food ingredients every year for users including Procter & Gamble, General Mills, Kraft/Nabisco, Cargill, and National Starch. Prior to establishing and growing PacMoore, Mr. Moore worked as a product development engineer for Procter and Gamble where among various accomplishments he patented and developed a new disposable diaper that remains the state of the art in diaper designs today. Mr. Moore's avocation is teaching Holy Scripture and in this pursuit he is active in volunteer lay ministry as the teaching leader for a Bible Study Fellowship class for men and their children in Tinley Park, Illinois. Mr. Moore graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He, his wife, Susan, and their two sons live in Frankfort, Illinois and worship at Calvary Reformed Church (RCA) in Orland Park.

Dr. Donald B. "Don" Smith is founder and president of Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Associates of Western Pennsylvania in Franklin, Pennsylvania. He is a board certified orthopedic surgeon, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a member of the Clinical Society of Orthopedics. Dr. Smith holds a B.S. degree from Auburn University, an MD degree from the University of South Alabama, and completed his internship and residency training in orthopedic surgery at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. His medical experience also includes active duty service in the U.S. Navy. Dr. Smith serves on the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Family Institute, a non-profit research and advocacy organization for Pennsylvania's families. His passions include historical architecture and restoration and the spiritual and professional mentoring of young people. Dr. Smith envisages the country's rediscovery of its Christian moral and intellectual heritage through a new generation of principled public leadership. He and his wife, Debbie, both hail from Alabama. They have four grown sons, and live in Oil City, Pennsylvania, and are members of Oil City Community Alliance Church (Christian Missionary Alliance) where Dr. Smith serves as an elder.

The Rev. Dr. Luder G. Whitlock is a Senior Fellow of the Trinity Forum in Washington, D.C. He served that organization as its executive director from 2003 until 2008. Dr. Whitlock also works with Excelsis, an Orlando-based nonprofit. Prior to his work with the Trinity Forum and Excelsis Dr. Whitlock served as president of Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS). Under his leadership, RTS grew from a small regional school to one of the most innovative as well as one of the ten largest seminaries in North America with multiple campuses in the U.S. as well as gateway extension programs in Asia, South America, and Europe. Dr. Whitlock is well known for his role as executive director of The New Geneva Study Bible and a major revision, published as The Spirit of the Reformation Study Bible. He is the author of The Spiritual Quest and has contributed to more than fifteen other volumes and over twenty different periodicals. Dr. Whitlock is a graduate of the University of Florida, Westminster Theological Seminary, and Vanderbilt University and is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). He and his wife, Mary Lou, make their home in Orlando, Florida have three children and eleven grandchildren.

Dr. Todd J. Williams is President of Philadelphia Biblical University in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. He has extensive leadership experience in secondary and post-secondary education. Previously Dr. Williams served as headmaster and chief executive officer of Trinity Christian School of Fairfax in northern Virginia. He holds degrees from Philadelphia Biblical University (B.S.) and Temple University (M.Ed. and Ph.D.). With an array of professional experience as a professor, lecturer, administrator, chief executive officer, and educational and organizational consultant, Dr. Williams serves churches, schools, and colleges as a visiting teacher and speaker on subjects ranging from biblical and Christian studies to cultural, organizational, and professional issues. His involvement with the Witherspoon Fellowship in Washington, D.C. as its Visiting Lecturer for Spiritual Formation in 2004 has contributed substantially to his interest in and commitment to the John Jay Institute's vision and mission to prepare Christian for principled public leadership. Dr. Williams and his wife, Dawn, are avid outdoors enthusiasts and homeschool their two children. The Williams family worships at Westerly Road Church in Princeton, New Jersey and reside in Morrisville, Pennsylvania.
